Trade Show Pedestal Buyer's Guide

A trade show pedestal is a small, freestanding stand that lifts a product, a sample or a stack of literature to a height where people will notice it. It takes less floor space than a counter, costs less, and can carry your graphics on every side. We build our Twist pedestals at our Virginia production facility, in square and circle shapes, three widths and three heights. This guide compares three of them and explains what to check before you buy.

Why use a pedestal?

• It puts a product at eye level. One item on its own stand gets more attention than the same item on a crowded table.
• Small footprint. Our pedestals are 15", 19" or 23" wide, so several fit where one counter would.
• Light to ship. They weigh 14 to 32 lb and pack into a compact cardboard box.
• Simple to build. Assembly needs only the included Allen wrench.

Large Square Twist Pedestal

Best for: larger products, and the most graphic space.

The Large Square Pedestal is a two shelf alternative to our Square Twist Counter. Removing the third shelf and the feet lowers both the weight and the cost. It uses the same European birch plywood and extruded square aluminum poles as the counter, and the shelves can be upgraded to white or black laminate. Four PVC panels enclose it, and they can be printed or left solid white or black. It assembles in a few minutes with the included Allen wrench.

Small Circle Twist Pedestal

Best for: tight spaces and frequent shipping.

The Small Circle Pedestal has a minimal number of parts and is one of our most economical models. Its 15" footprint suits smaller spaces. It uses three square extruded aluminum poles and is enclosed with three PVC panels, which come in solid white or black or can be printed. With its narrow width and minimal hardware it is lightweight yet durable, which makes it a good choice for repeat shipping.

3-Up Medium Circle Twist Pedestal

Best for: showing a product on top with stock or literature within reach below.

The 3-Up pedestal has three partially enclosed inner shelves spaced 6" apart. Display a product or marketing materials on top, and keep extras in the open shelves underneath. Below the inner shelves is hidden storage, reached by removing the back panel. It works in both retail and trade show settings. The shelves are cut from European birch plywood, with white or black laminate as an upgrade, and the extruded aluminum poles attach with steel bolts.

What to check before you buy

What will sit on top

Measure the product's base and choose a top wider than it: 15", 19" or 23". The top shelf on each pedestal holds up to 40 lb.

Height

All three come in 31", 37" and 41" heights. A taller pedestal brings a small product closer to eye level. A shorter one suits a larger item that people look down into.

Square or circle

Square tops match angular booths and give flat, wide graphic panels. Circle tops soften a booth and pair with curved backwalls.

Printed or plain panels

Panels can be printed with your graphics or left solid white or black. Graphics are printed directly onto the PVC panels with a UV flatbed printer and are scratch and fade resistant.

One pedestal or a group

For a more interesting display, group several pedestals of different heights and widths.

Common questions

What is the difference between a pedestal and a counter?

A pedestal is smaller and simpler. Our large pedestals have two shelves and rest directly on the bottom shelf, while the matching Twist counters add a third shelf and feet.

How much weight can a pedestal hold?

The top shelf of each Twist pedestal in this guide holds up to 40 lb.

What tools do I need to assemble one?

Only the included Allen wrench.

How long does it take to get a pedestal?

Pedestals ship 6 to 7 business days after graphic proof approval, plus shipping time.
